KAMPUNG ALAI

 INTRODUCTION

The kampung originally got her name from a tree called 'Alai'. There are about 500 houses with a population of more than 2000 people. Kampung Alai is well known for its "Kompang" group, a traditional Malay musical greeting played on special occasions.
